England 1st Innings
The second test match was held in Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester. West Indies won the toss and opt to bowl. England openers D Sibley got a marvelous century. He scored 120 runs of 372 balls. On the other hand, Englands one of the greatest all-rounder represented a carrier best innings. He made 176 runs off 356 balls with 17 fours and two big sixes. Thet produced a healthy total 469 runs in their first innings
West Indies 1st Innings
West Indies openers started well. Brathwaite found some runs from his willow. He made well played 75 runs but not good enough for his team! Shamarh Brooks made a good knock. He scored 68 runs from 137 balls and Roston Chase scored a quick 51 runs with 7 fours. West Indies scored 287 runs in their 1st Innings. Broad and woakes picked up three wickets each.
England 2nd Innings
England 2nd innings was more aggressive than first innings. Stokes opened the bat and he made another knock for his team. After 19th over England declared the second innings from 129-3.
West Indies 2nd Innings
Again no drama happened for the West Indies team. Top-order batsman was not up to the mark in the second innings from the West Indies point of view. Only Shamarh Brooks and Jermaine Blackwood scored a half-century. But that was not good enough for the West Indies.
