Two super over in one match

What a match and what a day that was! History made in IPL 36th Match between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab in Dubai International Cricket Stadium. After winning the toss, Mumbai Indians opt to bat first. Mumbai scored a healthy total of 176 runs in twenty overs by losing six wickets. In the second innings, Punjab started well and their captain continues his good form.  But they didn’t finish at that time. Because they scored exactly what Mumbai has done in the first innings. As a result, the game turned into a super over.

1st Super Over:

MI Bowler Jasprit Bumrah is the man in the first super over against the Punjab batsman Rahul and Pooran. They only managed five runs with losing 2 wickets against Bumrah. In a word that is absolutely incredible from a super over bowler’s point of view.

The drama continues on the MI side as well. Shami is the bowler for Kings XI’s side. He bowled brilliantly against the Mumbai Indians premium batsman  Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock. At the very end of the over MI needs 2 runs to win from 1 ball. Shami did a good job for his team and the match turned into another super over!

2nd Super Over:

MI bat first at that time.  Bowler was Jordan and the Batsmen was Pollard and Hardik Pandya. This time scored a challenging total than before. They scored 11 runs. As a result, the KXIP target was 12 runs from 6 ball.

Boult was the bowler and Punjab’s opening pair was Chris Gayle and Mayank Agarwal. Universe Boss scored Chris Gayle a huge six in the very first ball against the Boult.  After that Gayle took a single. Remaining job Mayank Agarwal did handsomely. As a result, KXIP won Super over 2 with 2 balls to spare.
