Fortune Barishal looking forward to winning: It was morning time and players were still getting ready to be at the ground but Miraz is bowling and bowling. Just somehow trying to make up for the scars by Ariful the other night. After losing a pretty close game Tamim Iqbal’s Fortune Barisal is really determined to come back.
Fortune Barishal looking forward to winning
Their effort on the ground was remarkable but at the end of the day, cricket is a cruel game. Unexpected things happen everyday especially in T-20 games where it just takes one big over to change the momentum.
Fortune Barisal may not be the best team on paper but they have some fire on their belly for sure with the combination of Tamim’s experience and Afif”s gun.
The squad of Barisal for Bangabandhu T-20 cup 2020
Tamim Iqbal (c), Abu Jayed, Abu Sayeem, Afif Hossain, Aminul Islam, Irfan Sukkur, Kamrul Islam, Mahidul Islam Ankon, Mehidy Hasan, Parvez Hossain Emon, Saif Hassan, Sohrawordi Shuvo, Sumon Khan, Tanvir Islam, Taskin Ahmed, Towhid Hridoy
They will be playing against one of the hot favourites of the tournament. On Saturday 28th November, 2020 – 12:30 Group Rajshahi vs Fortune Barisal match is taking place.
It has been two wins from two for Minister Group Rajshahi as they have edged past Dhaka and Khulna in what has been an excellent start to this edition of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup. Their young captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto is doing great with the bat and leadership. This stylish left hander led from the front last time out against Khulna with a half century but the most pleasing aspect was the contributions from a number of players which is always key to success in this format.
They have named an unchanged line-up in both of their matches so far and there is every chance they will do the same here for a third consecutive game as they prepare to face Fortune Barisal.
Fortune Barisal contrived to lose their first match in the competition as they failed to defend 22 in the final over against Khulna as Mehedi Hasan Miraz was smashed for four sixes in five balls to let slip from a winning position. It was a tough go for them so far.
There were some positives to take for the team considered by many to be the weakest in the tournament as Parvez Hossain Emon’s fifty and Taskin Ahmed’s two early wickets put them in with a great chance of winning but they fell narrowly short. Taskin looked in good nick with the ball. He is firing at the pitch and it feels like all the fitness work he has done in recent months is paying off pretty well.
It is hard to imagine they will make many changes if at all to the eleven that came so close to victory in that opening match especially given the lack of depth in their squad so the same line-up is expected.
