After winning the toss Bangladeshi captain Mushfiqur Rahim decided a interesting decision on the flat batting track to bowl first. In the First innings between BAN vs RSA, 1st test, South Africa targeted a huge total. South Africa declared first innings by 496 for 3. Dean Elgar made his career best 199 and run machine Hashim Amla played 137 runs glorious innings.

 

In the first innings Bangladesh reached 320 by 10 wickets which is Bangladesh best total against South Africa in South Africa. Mominul Haque (77) and Mahmudullah (66) helped Bangladesh to reach the total. Morne Morkel and Kagiso Rabada took 2 wickets. Maharaj took 3 wickets for considering 92 runs.

South Africa didn’t took too much time for the 2nd innings. They managed 247 runs for 6 wickets and invited to Bangladeshi batsman. Bangladesh made their 2nd Innings worst. No batsman didn’t engage for big score and continuously lost their wickets.

In the final day of the Potchefstroom test  South Africa didn’t look too much worry about Morne Morkel. Especially when Kagiso Rabada took Bangladeshi captain Mushfiqur Rahims wicket outstanding caught at slip by Hashim Amla. Keshav Maharaj picked up 4 for 25 in the second innings. He picked up 7 for 117 in the match.
